Is it necessary to seal stone?
One of the myths outside the tile and stone industry is that granite is difficult to maintain. This could not be further from the truth. Regardless of the type of stone you choose, we seal your stone twice – once before we fabricate and again after the installation. With granite, the sealer only rides on the microscopic pores of the stone. It does not penetrate the stone the way a wood varnish seeps into the wood. We will guide you through any maintenance requirements prior to your final product selection, thus ensuring you get the right product for the right application.
What should I consider when purchasing a natural stone countertop?
It is important to understand that industry-wide granite is the benchmark of performance and longevity for all countertop materials. Put quite simply there is no other product that offers the strength, durability and beauty of granite.
